Another fantastic and productive trip to Wamba with Ruby. We met with the Wamba Community Health workers to plan the next stage of our Gender Based Violence Awareness Training. They are going to focus on the interior villages for the next 8 sessions starting next week. We visited Ruby Pre-school to see the children and make lists of equipment and food that needs to be bought. We visited an after school club run by our good friends Augustin and Kerikeri and were so impressed, we will try and bring out resourses for the school on our next visit. As the schools and colleges hadn’t started after the holidays, we were able to meet with many of the girls we support to see how things are going for them and help them with any additional needs. The hardest part of our work is to have to turn many girls away who ask for our support as it is a small charity and we can only take on so many at a time. We currently support 38 girls through their education.
